The title came from a work email I wrote right after I returned to work from Paid Family Leave. I was so tired that I went to respond to a co-worker's email and one of the response options was "To All With History;" meaning I could respond to all in the email with the historical content still in the body of the email. At any rate, I picked that option, and instead of responding, I just wrote "To all with history," and sent it off! Right then I thought, "I gotta use that as an album title at some point!" Oh, and I also felt a little embarrassed not catching that before it went out...
This release went through several different recording processes before settling with the final product. Perhaps my biggest influence was because I started playing with Greg Black Thread. Greg records everything via 4-track and hand-held cassette players. His sound is SO amazing! It had been awhile since I had recorded via cassette, so it was great to do it with someone who has clearly mastered the medium. I bounced these tracks between digital and analog (cassette) mediums to varying success.
The final product is this: download is all digital. There is a cassette version that is DAA that I am very happy with too - which you can buy on this site or through aquariusrecords.org and discos.com
"Under the Sky" is a title taken from the short story of the same name by Paul Bowles. The digital only track is dedicated to Jon Kabat-Zinn.
